I am the father of Patrick Hu. Patrick came to Canada two years ago in pursuit of academic success. We were fortunate to have Coach Sophia as his mentor in golf. Her guidance has improved Patrick in many areas, including player mindset, on-course strategy, and specialized technical training. Last year, Patrick was crowned champion in the CJGA Fall Series Scramble at Royal Niagara. This summer, he earned third place in the Notah Begay III Canada Championships for boys aged 14 to 15. All of this is thanks to Coach Sophia. Once again, I express my gratitude for her excellent work and hope Patrick will perform even better in the upcoming seasons.

Golf is more than just a sport; it’s a reflection of life, full of challenges, ups and downs, and uncertainties. Coach Sophia and her So Golf Academy are the guides who help our children navigate through these peaks and valleys.

She not only teaches the techniques of the game, but through her own actions, she shows the kids—and even us parents—how to stay strong in the face of adversity and how to keep moving forward under pressure and frustration. Her passion and dedication to golf instruction have deeply inspired the children, and have earned the admiration of all of us parents.

In her classes, I’ve witnessed her meticulous attention to every detail. She tailors her approach to each individual, believing that every child has unique talents and potential. Sophia is flexible and insightful, helping each student quickly find their own rhythm and direction. Every step they take with her guidance is steady and solid. And they aren’t just learning golf techniques—they’re learning a positive, forward-looking attitude toward life. I can see their personal growth as they push their boundaries and reach new heights.

Sophia’s teaching style is infused with her own distinctive charm and emotion, full of passion and wholehearted commitment to the sport. Under her leadership, the school feels like one big family. Her kindness and dedication touch everyone involved, showing us all that true success comes from inner strength and relentless pursuit. With her support and guidance, the children have learned resilience, focus, and discipline—qualities that will serve them well, not only on the golf course but throughout their lives.

I am Jessica Gu’s father. As one of Coach Sophia’s favourite students, Jessica has made remarkable progress in golf. In 2024, Jessica participated in and earned impressive placements in many major tournaments, including 2nd place in the CJGA Mizuho National Championship, 5th place in the Northern Ireland Champions of Champions Invitational, and won a couple of 1st places in several other tournaments. With that, I extend my deepest gratitude to Coach Sophia for her patience, coaching and encouragements

Hi Sophia, Thank you for helping my son Michael improved his golf game throughout these years, from a tournament rookie that hit over 100 untill this year’s Single digit handicap.

From the tee to the green, he got impressed improving on both side, that leading to some tournament top 3 titles and constantly make cut in major tournaments. Highlighted with him and his team attending the OFFSAA final and make history of his school.

I am impressed for your on site and indoor simulator and analysis technique for your whole teaching team for helping every players. And obviously resulting more and more of your student won the CJGA, AJGA and European junior tour titles.

My son, Rylan, first met coach Sophia when he was six and half. To be honest, at the very beginning my husband and I didn’t feel that confident about Rylan’s potential. However, Sophia is definitely unlocking Rylan’s potential. We can easily see his growth in these two years. Now Rylan is almost nine years old, we can feel that Sophia’s passion for teaching has ignited a love for golfing within Rylan that will last a lifetime.
