Rules and Regulations

Cancellation Policy

All lessons and practice cards are valid for 12 months after registration. They are transferrable and non-refundable. Overdue lessons are automatically void after12 months.

Any student who requests an absence or who fails to attend a lesson within 24 hours of scheduled time slot will be considered absent, there will be no make-up lesson and the fee will not be refunded.

Expiration date can be extended under the following special circumstances, accompanied with the corresponding written proof.

a. If a student is experiencing serious illness and needs to be treated or quarantined for a longer period. Students must inform So Golf Academy at least 5 business days in advance with a hospital certificate and written application letter etc. Extensions will only be granted through written confirmation from So Golf Academy.

b. Lockdown or stay-home order issued by the government.

Transfer-of-Lessons Policy

Lessons package purchased by students cannot be transferred to other types of lessons. For example, the purchased 1-on-1 package lessons will not be applicable to 1-on-2 lessons or group lessons. If you need to adjust the lesson category, students need to pay the required lesson package fee separately.

If a student needs to transfer the remaining lessons to another person, he/she must inform the Academy in advance, transfer of lesson will only be granted after the Academy has confirmed that it is still within the valid period. The transfer of the remaining lessons shall be subject to the remaining balance, not the remaining hours, and shall be transferred by converting to the corresponding number of lessons at the current rate of the Academy after confirmation. Note: A one-time fee of $80 will be deducted from the student's remaining balance for the transfer or extension of lessons.

Lesson Format Alternation Policy

Students registered for semi-private or group lessons seek to request for an absence; require the request to be more than 24 hours in advance, please refer to (see “Cancellation Policy"above).

Once the student (as mentioned above) has requested for an absence 24 hours in advance, the Academy will arrange the lesson time slot and adjust rates accordingly after negotiation with other students that attend the lesson together.

The lesson time slot remains unchanged, the attending students are charged at a rate base on the actual number of students who attend the lesson.

Example: If one student who was originally enrolled in a group lesson (3 students) request for a absence 24 hours in advance, the remaining two students will be charged at the rate of a semi-private lesson each.

Lesson time will be rearranged to a time slot when all the students are available to attend.

Any student who fails to request for an absence 24 hours in advance or fails to attend a lesson will have their fees deducted according to the cancellation policy, while other students will continue to attend the lesson on the original scheduled time slot with unchanged rates.

Privacy Rules

Students are not permitted to post any pictures or videos of the coach privately on any social media without his/her knowledge or consent to do so.

Waiver of Liability

I [FullName], have read and understood the rules and regulations of classes and activities at the So Golf Academy. I agree to the class rules listed on the website and I understand the inherent risks in the golf course and facilities and I assume personal responsibility for all such risks. I will sign the documents, such as Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement, as required.

So Golf Academy may arrange:

(i) promotion of Tournaments and activities of So Golf Academy for radio and television broadcasting and other exhibition and publication of the Tournaments or excerpts thereof in various media, including so-called "online" or "new media"

and

(ii) the design, manufacture, and sale of merchandise which commemorates or memorializes activities and competitions, throughout the country or world. By agreeing to this application, the student/parent consents to the use by So Golf, of his/her name, likeness, voice, and references to him/her and photographs and other images of him/her and his/her play connected with his/her appearance in the competitions and activities, or any portion(s) thereof, in connection with such media promotion, broadcasting and other exhibition and publication of the Tournaments, activities and design, manufacture and sale of commemorative merchandise.

I hereby give my permission to allow my name, photographs, and tournament and any event results to be released to the press/media and allow this information to be posted on the official So Golf Academy website including any articles.

About underage children--parents agree to the following release and waiver of liability attached:

In connection with the activities of my child as a participant in So Golf Academy, I agree and understand that the presence and participation of my child at So Golf Academy, their respective employees, agents, and representatives (collectively referred to as “the indemnified parties”) may expose my child participant to both known and unknown and risks foreseeable and unanticipated risks of death, or to harm or injury to person or property.

In consideration of the participation of my child in the course of activities, I acknowledge that such risks exist and I hereby assume all such risks and release and discharge the indemnified parties and each of them and their respective officers, directors, agents, members, and employees and any other participants from any and all claims for liability for death, personal injury or property damage my child may suffer at any time while participating in activities, whether or not in the So Golf Academy, including, without limitation (and whether similar or dissimilar to those enumerated), any claim arising out of any condition of the premises owned by So Golf Academy or conduct of any person in connection with the preparation for or supervision of or conduct of the program or any activity connected or related to it.

I specifically hereby release the indemnified parties and each of them and their respective officers, directors, agents, members, and employees, and any other participant from any negligence of the indemnified parties or their representative officers, directors, agents, members, and employees, and other volunteers.

I further understand that the Indemnified Parties will not maintain insurance that will cover my child for either death; personal injury, property damage, or medical expenses, and I accept full responsibility for the costs of treatment for any injury or damages suffered while participating in activities with So Golf Academy.

I authorize So Golf Academy to use my child’s photo, name, and comments in any form of media including, photos, newspapers, radio, PowerPoint presentations, circular or brochure publications, and any other reasonable form of advertising and promotional material.
